Jerrys Plains Veterinary Hospital was established in 1990 by Jim Rodger. Jerry’s Plains Veterinary Hospital has now become widely known throughout Australia and overseas as a specialist equine reproduction clinic. It continues to service thoroughbred studs in the area and the increasing non thoroughbred industry, particularly in the sphere of artificial breeding. The practice now offers excellent facilities, both for equine and small animal patients.
The practice is currently employs a senior equine reproduction veterinarian on a seasonal basis. The applicant will be required to carry out artificial breeding procedures such as artificial insemination, semen evaluation and processing including freezing. This is in addition to routine mare examinations on thoroughbred farms.
